Ronette Lynn Peterson, 22, from Madrid, Iowa

The body of this unidentified young woman was found floating in a water filled pit off of Highway 33, approximately 3/4 of a mile north of Combee Road on May 7, 1986 in Lakeland, Florida.
 
The victim's age is estimated to be between 16 and 35. She was approximately 5'3" and about 125 pounds. She had reddish brown hair and blue to hazel eyes.
 
She had four tattoos:
- A yellow rose on her inner left wrist
- A black unicorn and a long stemmed rose on her right groin area
- A question mark ? on her right hip
- A hand drawn heart on her left hip area


The victim was wearing an aqua colored shirt, blue jeans with pinstripes, a tie belt made of a red ribbon and a blue ribbon with beads and feathers on the end and gray, blue and white tennis shoes with bells tied into the toe end of the laces.
 
She was also wearing a silver colored bracelet with white heart shaped stones, two silver colored bracelets, a silver colored ring with 5 heart designs, three of the designs had blue stones and two of the designs had red stones, a silver colored necklace with a gold colored dangle pendant, three pairs of pierced earrings (three earrings in each ear): one pair of gold colored French hoop dangle earrings, one earring was missing a dangle, a pair of light blue heart shaped earrings, a gold colored heart shaped earring with a clear stone and a pearl type ball and a pearl type ball earring.
